My Top Ten Books 2018

I have read fewer books than usual this year, but many of them have been by my favourite authors and this is making it really difficult to choose a Top Ten.

Today I’m going to start with a few honourable mentions, which could just as easily be on my Top Ten list!

I’m going to kick off with books by two authors who have been in my top ten list for the past two years, and also have books on this years list:

The Coven Heir
The Coven Series Book Two
by Lily Luchesi

The Coven Heir

The Dark never dies.

One year after The Company of Clan Munro was defeated, things in the UK Coven are settling down, and also beginning to be shaken up.

The Princess, Harley Sinclair, is building her potion business and planning a wedding to James Quigley, while still taking lessons from her father, the Coven King.

Her younger half-brother, Nick Smith, is moving to London with three friends … including Roger Ainsley, the son of the former leader of the Dark.

When a mysterious stranger appears back from the dead, his words of warning of another Dark Clan rising might change Nick and Harley’s lives forever.

There’s a deathwitch in the Coven, and she has her sights set on the Princess.

Bad Reputation

by Lily Luchesi

Bad Reputation

She’s a mercenary on a mission.

Bree Carson is an Undead assassin who makes her living using her supernatural abilities to kill criminals of all kinds, protecting humanity. But Chicago’s new mayor wants her and all other paranormals either jailed or killed, and Bree’s bad reputation has her at the top of the list.

When she’s arrested one night, she’s confronted by the mayor…but not for an execution. Ilona wants to hire Bree for a very specific mission that will prove to be personal and potentially harmful to them both.

Can they put their differences aside in order to save a life?

Awaken
Northern Witch #2
by K.S. Marsden

Awaken

Mark has everything he ever wanted. He is training to be a fully-fledged witch; and he is dating the hottest guy at school.
But events from last winter have set things into motion that he is not prepared for.

Witches, demons, and danger come together to prove that this… this is only the beginning.

The Knowing Child
Secrets of Windy Springs #3
by Valarie Savage Kinney

The Knowing Child

Evie O’Connor isn’t a typical three-year-old. She hears the cries of the dead and the dying. Her burgeoning ability brings the scars of a painful past into her parent’s lives.

No matter how hard she tries to forget, the effects of neglect and abuse linger in Keisha O’Connor’s mind. Nightmares, anxiety, and something more sinister have a grip on her she can’t break. When her daughter Evie makes a terrifying announcement, the walls surrounding her perfect life come tumbling down.

At Windy Springs Renaissance Festival, the familiar isn’t what it seems. A bizarre twist of fate puts Evie in danger as the Rennies band together to save the child… and possibly take down one of their own.

Had I added the books above, my Top Ten would have been taken by these four authors alone.

I’d love for you to come back tomorrow and see which books and authors made it onto my Top Ten List for 2018
