2 Children’s Birthday Cards

2 days, 3 birthdays and 3 cards.

My Dad and my grandson, Dreydon share their birthday on the 4th of December. Dreydon’s sister, my grand-daughter, celebrates her birthday on the 5th!

Only 2 of the cards are shown here because I forgot to take a photo of my dad’s card.

Dreydon’s card.

To make:
Back an A4 piece of blue glitter card with a sheet of spotty blue paper then cut in half diagonally.
Score each half at 10 and 20 cm, fold into 3, then cut slits in the centre of each third. *see template.

Draw and colour (or print out) some Minions and letters, then cut them all out. I used party hats instead of letters for the ‘A’s and the ‘I’.
Arrange the Minions on the card and once you are happy with the placement stick them down. Then add the letters to the appropriate Minion to spell out Happy Birthday.

Tip
If you have trouble sticking onto glitter card, use a sharp knife to pick off the glitter layer from the backing on area you are going to stick to. 😉

Shanice’s card.

Shanice’s card was made in the same way, although the minions were replaced with Palace Pets and metallic thread was tied from the ‘balloon’ letters to the pets paws.
